To achieve a high standard and pass theory and practical tests in order to become an RTITB Qualified Instructor / Examiner.

To be aware of the maintenance and pre-operation checks for fork trucks.

To achieve the necessary Driver Standards in either Counter-Balance and/or Reach trucks.

To be aware of fork lift truck Driver Responsibilities.

Health & Safety at Work Act applicable to FLT Engineering

Principles of FLT Daily checks, record keeping, battery care, maintenance

Rating Plates and Weight Assessment

The Hydraulic System Vehicle loading and unloading

FLT hazards and Operators Safety Code Practical driving and manoeuvring

Starting and de-starting
